COVID-19 Response

We prioritize the health and safety of our customers and employees with our COVID response.  Kodak Alaris’s employees, facilities, customers and suppliers globally have been impacted by the Coronavirus.  As a result, we have a task force to monitor the situation and ensure necessary actions are taken and support provided.

The task force includes representatives from our Environmental, Health and Safety, Supply Chain and Human Resources functions, as well as representatives from each of the businesses. The recommendations of the task force are reviewed and supported by the Kodak Alaris Executive Committee and Board. We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and precautionary measures are being put in place as appropriate.

Field Service

The health and welfare of our partners and customers remains a key priority. We continue to provide remote diagnostic support in an effort to resolve problems quickly and reduce unnecessary risks of exposure for customers and our FEs. In addition, our quality on-site services continue in locations as permitted by local or national restrictions. We will comply with government mandates as they are implemented and will resume service as allowed.

Where on-site visits are essential, our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team has provided guidelines for our Field Engineers (FEs) to follow including proper distancing, face coverings and hand hygiene, as well as procedures to minimize contact such as cleaning equipment before service and avoiding sharing items and personal contact.  In addition, FEs are required to perform daily health checks before going to customer locations or Kodak Alaris sites.   Daily health checks consist of self-assessing symptoms and potential exposure using our health screening questionnaire and temperature measurement.

Kodak Alaris is closely monitoring the government websites for updates that may impact our plans.

Operations

Kodak Alaris has issued guidance to all employees regarding employment practices specific to the COVID-19 situation, including alternative work arrangements and sick leave policies.

At this point in time, the majority of our workforce is safely working remotely from home.

The re-occupancy of our facilities is subject to a robust framework with requirements that must be met – these include external factors such regional restrictions, the number of community cases as well as internal elements such as business need, health screening, social distancing, wearing of face coverings, hygiene, etc. controls.  To assist implementation of the re-occupancy framework, readiness checklists have been created and implemented to ensure that measures are in place to protect employees and visitors, and to help prevent further spread of the virus and to provide for business continuity.

As the pandemic progresses, we continue to review government, WHO, and CDC guidance and evolve occupancy of worldwide facilities as necessary.

Travel

All travel bans that have been put in place by the CDC, WHO, and individual governments are being respected. As a further precautionary measure, the Company has announced that non-essential business travel should be avoided and when travel is necessary, all local and government guidance is followed. Guidance on actions required on return from travel, including self-quarantine, has also been provided.
