Paris, September 25, 2023. - Kodak Alaris, a specialist in intelligent data capture, is putting its expertise and technological solutions at the service of ESAT Kalistâ Marolles-Les-Braults (72). Offering 70 people with disabilities the opportunity to work in a protected environment, this specialized establishment has set up a digitization workshop based on a successful combination of human support and technology through Kodak Alaris solutions. This enables the digitization and classification of 125 to 150 files per day.
When technology gives meaning to the talents of people with disabilities
Offering digitization services, ESAT Kalistâ Marolles-Les-Braults (72) has equipped itself with Kodak Alaris solutions to offer one of its clients, a manufacturer of agricultural equipment, the digitization and processing of documents on an ongoing basis and, at the same time, the recovery of several years of archives. Thanks to the Kodak Alaris solutions and the support it has received from ADDIS Technologies, the establishment, which today employs 15 professionals with disabilities in its digitization workshop, is able to digitize all types of documents for its client, whether administrative documents, technical drawings, user manuals, etc. This makes it possible to capture, classify and index the data contained in these same documents, even if they are scratched or crumpled.

A whole chain of professions has thus been set up around two Kodak S3060f and Kodak S3120 scanners and licenses for Kodak Capture Pro software for the processing of all the client's paper media, whether recent or archive recovery. The documents are prepared before being scanned, digitized, checked, indexed, and finally uploaded to a dedicated SharePoint that is only accessible by the ESAT client. In order to boost the organization of the digitization workshop and improve the skills of the 15-person team that runs it, Marie-Claire Haincourt, the EDM Manager, has also introduced job rotations so that everyone can have an overview of the entire digitization and production chain and has access to a wide variety of tasks and assignments.
“The Capture Pro software is quite easy to learn, which makes it easy for us to integrate and train all users on the various workstations. It is also useful for rotating through the various workstations to maintain good concentration in our work,” says Frédéric Simon, director of ESAT Kalistâ Marolles-Les-Braults.
“It is essential for us to offer our customers a smooth, fast and reliable user experience. And we are very pleased to see how much sense this approach makes in the very specific environment of ESAT structures and more particularly at Kalistâ,” says Aline Cande-Saponara, Head of Sales at Kodak Alaris.
A reliable, easy-to-use and scalable solution
Thanks to the system put in place, 100,000 files of 80 to 100 pages have been processed since the implementation of the Kodak Alaris solution in June 2018. Up to 2,500 files are scanned and classified every month.
“ADD Technologies is very happy to be able to support clients such as ESAT Kalistâ because there is a real challenge, both human and technological, to be met, and this gives a special meaning to our approach. Kodak Alaris solutions, which are innovative, ergonomic and scalable, are particularly well suited to environments such as Kalistâ and this allows us to look to the future together with confidence and serenity,” emphasizes Grégory Laborderie, Managing Director of ADDIS Technologies.
“The digitization workshop now employs 20% of Kalistâ's total workforce, and it is an important issue for us, both in human and economic terms,” adds Frédéric Simon.
Not to mention that the efficiency of the solution deployed in the digitization workshop now enables Kalistâ to win over new customers. A good way to bring even more diversity to this particularly endearing and motivated team!
