Context:

The client is a US multinational company with global operations and has been served by Netscan in Brazil for more than 15 years.

Current Situation:

The company required a better-centralized document capture infrastructure, given the nature of the business, which provides document scanning and physical custody services. In addition, they were aware of the growing competition in Brazil in different sizes and operational profiles within this service segment.

Objective:

To update the scanner fleet, including the maintenance of this equipment; as well as to prioritize the use of Kodak Alaris equipment throughout its document capture structure located in various locations throughout the country.

Solution:

By placing 7 Kodak i3000 scanners, 15 Kodak i4000 scanners and 8 Kodak i5000 scanners, the project area was supported in the definition of capture equipment and software to meet the demands and projects under its responsibility, in addition to the constant evaluation of the equipment previously used by the client, recommending the possible replacement with newer models with updated functions.

Benefits and Results:

The constant supply of new equipment not only ensured a constant updating of the scanner fleet, it also reduced maintenance costs and increased its production capacity.

Advantages such as the competitiveness of its document digitization structure compared to other competitors, as well as the improvement of its internal production cost ratio, improving its commercial competitiveness in this service provision.

Similarly, internally, the upgrade has brought greater efficiency in the delivery of existing demands, as well as a guarantee of knowledge standardization for the employees involved, as it is the same capture software.

In general, the client identified that a standardized and updated document capture infrastructure with equipment from the same manufacturer brought high performance, reducing maintenance costs, improving the efficiency of the employees involved in its operation and an improvement in productivity with customers.
